Man arrested with €24k of cannabis growing in house

A man has been arrested by Gardai in Wexford after the discovery of €24k of cannabis.

The 26-year-old man was arrested at a house in Ballylane East, New Ross Co. Wexford this afternoon. The drugs were found growing in a bedroom. There was also a growhouse discovered at the back of the property.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €24,000.

The man was taken to New Ross Garda Station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He can be detained for up to seven days.
