Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man over a shooting which took place on North Circular Road last September.

The man, who is in his 30s, is being held at Bridewell Garda Station.

The incident happened at around 5.25pm on September 2 when a man was approached by another man carrying a gun at Drumalee Park.

Five to six shots were discharged at the first man who fled into his back garden and then into his house.

He was uninjured in the shooting and the gunman fled the scene in a red car.

A car on fire was recovered a short time laster at Regal Park, just off Blackhorse Avenue.

The incident happened close to where a number of the extended Hutch family are living and it is understood the shooting was linked to the Kinahan-Hutch feud.

Investigations are ongoing.
