Man arrested after father-of-one stabbed to death at apartment in row over woman

A man has been arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing in Tallaght in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A man has been arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing in Tallaght in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was arrested yesterday evening and is being held in the Tallaght garda station in relation to the violent attack.

Father-of-one Graham McKeever (32) was found unconscious outside an apartment block on Deerpark Avenue with multiple stab wounds.

It is believed he was killed between 4am and 5.30am on Saturday.

It is understood that a dispute broke out over a woman.

Tributes have been made to Mr McKeever and a GoFundMe page has been set up to raise monies for his devastated family.

The page reads: "He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

"Nothing will bring peace to his mam, his young son or those closest to Graham but maybe as a community we can offer some support to help them through this difficult time."

A man is believed to have broken into an apartment and stabbed Mr McKeever.

A woman in her 30s was also attacked but was not seriously injured.

It is believed she was known to both the victim and the attacker.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses who may have been in the Deerpark Avenue area to come forward with any information they may have.

They are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Tallaght garda station on 01 666 6000 or to call on the Garda Confidential Telephone Line of 1800 666 111 or to any garda station.
