Man (60s) rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Co Kerry street, investigation underway

A garda investigation is underway after a man in his 60s was stabbed in Co Kerry today.

The incident took place on Moyderwell Street, Tralee at approximately 2pm.

"An altercation took place between two males resulting in a male in his 60s receiving stab injuries and being taken to Tralee Hospital," a garda spokesman confirmed.

It is believed the incident occurred near a library on the street.

The man's injuries are described as being non life-threatening.
