Man (60s) killed in collision between truck and tractor

Gardaí appealing for witnesses

A man in his sixties was killed in a fatal road collision in Co Waterford yesterday.

The incident occurred on the N25 Waterford bypass at approximately 3pm.

The man was killed after the heavy goods vehicle in which he was driving collided with a tractor.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver of the tractor (25) was taken to University Hospital Waterford with non life threatening injuries, gardaí confirm.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene and the local Coroner was notified.

Investigating Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses.

They have asked anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station 051-305300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
