Man (40s) slashed in the face in attack at Dublin flats

Gardaí are investigating after a man suffered facial injuries when he was attacked with a blade by two men this afternoon.

The incident happened at the Michael Mallin House flats on Vicar Street in Dublin 8 at 12.30pm.

It is believed the attack happened when the man, who is in his 40s, answered the door of his flat.

He was then removed to St James's Hospital and has since been discharged.

A garda spokeswoman confirmed to Independent.ie that an investigation is ongoing.
