Man (40s) arrested after gardai discover cannabis worth €80k

A man has been arrested after gardai discovered cannabis plants worth €80,000 at a house in Co Meath.

The cannabis, along with cultivation equipment, was discovered after gardaí carried out a search at a house in the Grange Rath area of Drogheda on Monday.

One man (40s) has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Ashbourne Garda Station. He can be detained for 24 hours.

Investigations are ongoing.
