Man (36) arrested following drugs seizure worth €40,000

Gardai carried out a planned search in Nenagh, Co Tipperary and have seized two kilos of cannabis, with an estimated street value in excess of €40,000.

One man, aged 36, was arrested at the scene.

He was detained at Nenagh Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The search was a joint operation between The Revenue Commissioners, the Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Nenagh Divisional Drugs Unit.
