A 21-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Antrim.

The accident involving a car and a coach happened on the Moorfields Road, Ballymena, at about 1pm.

The road remains closed.

Meanwhile, four people were injured in a collision between three motorcycles and a car in Co Down.

It happened on Aughnagon Road near Mayobridge just before 2pm.

One of the motorcyclists was airlifted by police helicopter to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where his condition is described as stable.

Three others were taken by ambulance to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry and Craigavon Area Hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road has been closed as police investigate the cause of the accident. Motorists have been asked to avoid the area.
