Make a night of it at top events

Dublin: A treasure hunt will take place on Francis Street with the prize of a piece of art.

Galway -- Oughterard: Some 30 local and visiting artists will be displaying visual art, sculpture, ceramics, patchwork and felting.

Limerick: Dance workshops for families along with contemporary dance installations.

Sligo: Children will be able to make their own book at the 'Kids' Own Travelling Library'.

Carlow: Auditions will be held for 'Opera for Carlow' -- a large-scale singing project written for community involvement.

Wicklow: There will be guerrilla theatre popping up around the town.

New York: A new play by Gary Duggan will be held in the Irish arts centre.

Belgium: Local artists will show off works at the Leuven Institute for Ireland.

Kildare: Photographs from Athy native John Minihan will be displayed.

Westmeath: Guided tours of Belvedere House and gardens will be held.
