Major land and sea search for missing woman in her twenties

A major land, sea and air search in Co Limerick for a missing woman has been called off for the evening.

It is set to resume again in the morning.

The search began at 8am this morning in the Pallaskenry area, Co Limerick.

The woman, in her twenties, was last seen on Saturday.

The extensive search team includes Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue Service along with Ballybunion Coast Guard, Shannon based Rescue Helicopter R115, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, Foynes Search and Rescue, Kilkee Coast Guard, Bunratty Search and Rescue and locals are all involved in the search. 

The search is focused on the estuary of the River Shannon.
