Magical: Top marks but no trophy for Evanna in 'Dancing with Stars' final
Irish actress Evanna Lynch missed out on the mirrorball trophy in America's 'Dancing with the Stars' - but her father said her family are all "immensely proud" of her.
The 'Harry Potter' star placed third in the final on Monday night, missing out on the crown to radio star Bobby Bones.
Her parents Donal and Marguerite Lynch were in Los Angeles to cheer on their talented daughter.
"Her performance last night topped all she had done over the series," he said. "Both dances she did last night were excellent and she was the only one to get full scores for both of them - so in our eyes she is a winner.
"We are extremely grateful for all the support in America and at home - we didn't expect that at all. It has been a wonderful experience.
"She told us she would dance her heart out and she did. When you leave everything on the stage, when you give it everything like Evanna did, what more can you do?"
Evanna took to her social media to thank all her fans, saying their support had meant the "world" to her and professional dance partner Keo Motsepe.
The actress (27), who rose to fame as young witch Luna Lovegood, also received a special good luck message from former 'Harry Potter' co-star Emma Watson and author JK Rowling.
