The Green Line Luas service is back up and running after a delay on Sunday morning due to a 'fault on line'

Weekend shoppers were left frustrated in Dublin city centre as Luas services came to a halt this morning.

The service disruption on the Luas Green Line meant that there were no services operating for a six-kilometre stretch in the Dublin city centre area.

Trams were only operating from Brides Glen to Beechwood on the southside, and from Broombridge to Dominic Station on the northside.

There were no working trams on the stretch between Milltown and Parnell Street due to the fault on the line.

A Luas spokesperson said they apologise for any inconvenience caused today.
