Luas Red Line closes following incident with cyclist

The Luas Red Line closed briefly this morning following an incident where a cyclist made contact with the tram.

The cyclist was not seriously injured but was sent to hospital as a precautionary measure, a Luas official told Independent.ie.

The incident took place between St James’s Hospital and Heuston Station.

Dublin Bus are accepting valid tram tickets for the duration of the closure.

The line has re-opened but delays are expected until noon today.
