ONE of the men injured in the double murder in Kilcock, Co Kildare, on Tuesday night has been discharged from hospital, writes Tom Brady.
The Lithuanian man was shot in the legs when gunmen sprayed the downstairs of a house at Rochford Avenue with a handgun and a shotgun.
However, a Dubliner, who sustained more serious leg wounds, remains in hospital.
Gardai said the two men were lucky to be alive. Last night officers were continuing to interview residents of the estate in a bid to find out more information about the getaway vehicle used.
A number of vehicles found abandoned since then, have been ruled out of inquiries.
Gardai believe victim Andrew Barry (30), who lived in the house, was the primary target of the attack, thought to be linked to a feud between two gangs, based in north Kildare and south Dublin.
The second murder victim has been identified as a Lithuanian but his name is not being made public until all of his family have been notified.
