Lenihan resting at home after cancer treatment
Former Finance Minister Brian Lenihan is at home resting after being in hospital for cancer treatment.
But Mr Lenihan, right, has been in contact with Fianna Fail colleagues and is "in good form". He is understood to have been in hospital last week for a procedure. A constituency spokesman yesterday called on friends and party members to continue to show their support for Mr Lenihan. "Brian would like to thank everybody for their support and best wishes and he hopes to be back in action very soon," the message said.
Meanwhile, former Taoiseach Garret FitzGerald remains in a critical condition in hospital, although there were some indications he appeared to be getting a little bit stronger.
