Knock launches Dusseldorf route

Tourism and business interests in the west are in for a boost with the start of a new flight today between Knock and Germany.

The German carrier Lufthansa is expected to bring over 2,000 visitors to the west over the summer on the weekly schedule, which starts today between Ireland West Airport Knock and Dusseldorf. The move is worth an estimated €1m to the region.

Lufthansa, the fourth largest airline in the world in terms of the number of passengers carried, will continue the flights until next September.
