Killer Kearney 'upset' to miss daughter's wedding

KILLER Brian Kearney's daughter married yesterday at the luxury Spanish hotel he ran with the wife he killed.

Aoife Kearney (26) wed in a low-key ceremony in the garden of the upmarket boutique Hotel Salvia on the sunshine island of Majorca.

Her electrician father, Brian, serving a life sentence in Wheatfield Prison, was said to be "deeply upset" at missing the wedding in the picture-postcard town of Soller.

Around 30 close friends and family watched as Aoife tied the knot with her long-term partner after the family closed off the six-room, €200-a-night hotel.

It is not known who her new husband is.

Loyal Aoife, who stood by her father during his trial for strangling wife Siobhan, walked down the aisle as a female singer performed Leonard Cohen's moving classic 'Hallelujah'.

A female celebrant then officiated at the 45-minute service, during which the singer performed Bette Midler's classic love song 'The Rose'.

Guests then enjoyed a long lunch in the garden, lined with orange and palm trees, while a lone Spanish guitarist played in the background.

Aoife was raised by Siobhan from the age of three after being born from a previous relationship of Kearney's.
