TAOISEACH Enda Kenny's use of the government jet for his St Patrick's Day visit to the United States cost up to €98,000.
He had a packed seven-day schedule of meetings across the US – including his trip to the White House.
Mr Kenny spent around 26 hours on the government jet, flying to locations including New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter also had the use of the government jet for an earlier St Patrick's Day trip to Israel and Lebanon – at an estimated cost of €24,000.
Figures supplied in response to parliamentary questions from Sinn Fein TD Sandra McClellan show that the bill for other ministerial flights and accommodation for St Patrick's Day visits was around €91,000.
In 2007, under the former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, a total of €560,000 was spent.
