Kenny teaches Adams a lesson in 'extreme revisionism'
ENDA Kenny silenced Gerry Adams yesterday with a jibe about the Sinn Fein president not being a member of the IRA.
The Taoiseach was responding to a claim by Mr Adams in the Dail that he was engaging in "extreme revisionism" with his version of the Government's approach to the eurozone crisis.
The mention of revisionism by the Sinn Fein leader, prompted heckling and laughter from Fine Gael backbenchers, and a jibe from the Taoiseach on the day when former IRA commander, Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, shook hands with the queen.
"One thing I have in common with you, and that is in the content of extreme revisionism, neither you nor I were members of the IRA or the IRA Army Council," he said.
