Kenny says unemployment is 'deepest hurt' of economic crisis
TAOISEACH Enda Kenny says unemployment is the "deepest hurt" of the economic crisis.
Mr Kenny is speaking at George Washington University, as the third day of his week long trip to the USA takes him to the US capital.
Mr Kenny said no level of unemployment is acceptable but the figure among young people is intolerable.
"As democrats we cannot and will not allow a generation to grow up believing that democracy itself has failed to give them a reasonable chance in life," he said.
Mr Kenny is being presented with the George Washington University 'Making Democracy Work' award.
