Kenny fails to inspire as FG loses support
FINE Gael has dropped five points in opinion polls in the past two months, as party leader Enda Kenny's new image has failed to take off.
But the party is still the best supported of the political parties, staying ahead of Fianna Fail, which has regained second place from the Labour Party.
The latest poll shows Fine Gael on 30pc, down three points since the previous poll a month ago; Fianna Fail on 24pc, up one point; Labour on 22pc, down two points; Sinn Fein on 10pc, up four points; the Green Party on 5pc, down one point; and Independents on 9pc.
After being on 35pc in March, Fine Gael has suffered two drops in successive polls.
Fianna Fail had dropped to third place in the last poll, but has leapfrogged Labour again in this survey by Red C in the 'Sunday Business Post'.
