Keane fears mobs will target home
IRELAND captain Robbie Keane has spoken of his fears that the rioting engulfing parts of London might spread to his family home, write Daniel McDonnell and Kevin Keane.
His north London home is close to where some of the violence has taken place.
Keane plays football with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, which itself has been targeted by rioters.
Speaking in Dublin ahead of tonight's soccer friendly with Croatia, Keane admitted that he fears the violence might affect him.
"I keep checking Sky News to make sure my house is all right," he said.
"It is worrying because my house is five minutes away (from the riots).
"It is obviously not nice to see it is fairly close to where I live. I hope it starts to calm down before it gets too stupid; it is already starting to get out of control."
