BOXING star Katie Taylor added yet another title to her long list of distinctions, when she was presented with the Boxer of the Year award by the Irish Amateur Boxing Association.
The 25-year-old, pictured above at the event, who is preparing for the London Olympics later this year, claimed her fifth European boxing title in a row and won her fourth European Gold Medal during 2011 -- and is also the current world lightweight champion.
The native of Bray, Co Wicklow, received her latest award at a ceremony at the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin on Saturday.
Her coach and father Peter Taylor said: "Katie is absolutely delighted with the award. The previous 12 months were a big year for Irish boxing."
