'Just breathalysed in D4... second time in recent months' - Transport Minister's latest tweet sparks debate online
Tweet sparks debate
Shane Ross has succeeded once again in getting people talking on the Twitter machine.
The Transport Minister posted a tweet about how he was breathalysed by gardaí in the D4 area on Monday morning.
Tweeting shortly before 9am, he wrote; "Just been breathalysed in Dublin4 by Garda Traffic corps. Second time in recent months. Is enforcement stepping up?"
He added; "Reading :zero."

The tweet sparked debate as both the drink-driving controversy in the Dáil and the botched garda breathalysing figures hit headlines in recent weeks.
One person commented; "Typical gardai. The problem is on rural roads but the easy and financially sound option is Dublin."
Another wrote; "I would say take the bus but....."
One person added; "You could try the bus well not in Cork, Limerick, Waterford...", while another wrote; ""Well Shane, I have been living in Wexford for 3 years. A lot of driving but only encountered 2 checkpoints for tax etc. No breathalyser [sic]."
The minister's tweet follows one he posted last week in the midst of the drink-driving debate in the Dáil, where he shared a post from his official website titled; 'Drink Driving – The Facts'.
