Job boost as Aim Group opens four new Iceland stores around country

THE AIM Group, one of Ireland's largest independent wholesalers and owner of the master franchise of Iceland supermarkets here, has announced the creation of over 40 jobs at the official opening of its new Iceland store in Carlow last week.

In the past three weeks, the frozen food franchise has opened stores in Coolock, Dublin; Clonmel, Co Tipperary; and Ashbourne, Co Meath, creating over 200 new jobs across the country with a total investment of €3m.

Concert to feature double premiere

THE Mornington Singers will stage a special concert, Illuminare: English Music from the 16th to 21st Century, in the Chapel of Trinity College Dublin on Saturday, December 3, at 8pm. The choir, in collaboration with Andrew Johnstone (organ), will feature the Irish premieres of two works by Judith Bingham: Our Faith is a Light and Beneath these Alien Stars.

Muay Thai champions gather in Arena
