The 5:2: Get the skinny on the diet that swept the world

Since its  launch, the world hasn’t been able to get enough of Dr. Michael Mosley’s 5:2 Diet.

This was the revolutionary regime which involved restricting your calorie intake two days a week and eating normally for the rest of the week.  The simple scheme brought about not just weight loss but many health benefits too.

Now, for the first time ever, the 5:2 has been put to the test with clinical trials – right here in Ireland.

Inside this week’s Sunday Independent, we exclusively reveal the fascinating results of these tests and talk to some of the people who took part and hear about their highs and lows.  We also talk to Ray Power the Irish doctor who not only conducted the trials but did the diet himself  and is evangelical about the results.   Dr Mosley, the medic who brought 5:2 global,  discusses further findings on intermittent fasting and extols the bonuses of combining it with short bursts of high-intensity exercise.

They say you won’t get thin by reading about it. We prove them wrong and show you the fast way to lose weight permanently, live healthily and fight ageing.

Only in the Sunday Independent.
