In this Week's Sunday Independent:

They have relationships, they have sex, they enter the Olympics and the Rose of Tralee.  They also happen to have disabilities.

This week in the Sunday Independent we come to terms with the wonderful world of disability.

We witness incredible lust for life and love like you’ve never seen.

We meet families and their carers, talk to artists, actresses, sports stars, beauty queens and business dynamos about the challenges and triumphs of living a life with disability.

Our agony aunt Mary O'Conor explains how being disabled doesn’t mean losing the right to a sex life and Frieda Finlay writes about how her adult daughter's intellectual disability doesn’t preclude love and desire.

And as we reflect on how far this last great civil rights movement has come in this generation, we face up to the next challenge:  Are people with disabilities always condemned to be on the sidelines of the mainstream world? Inside this week’s Sunday Independent.
