COMIC Peter Kay surprised revellers in Dublin over the weekend, playing an

impromptu gig with the Saw Doctors.

Kay jetted into Ireland to join the rock band on stage in the Olympia Theatre for their first chart topper, 'I Useta Lover'.

He also helped the band launch their new album, 'The Further Adventures Of The Saw Doctors', before hosting an intimate bash with his relatives, who travelled from all corners of Ireland.

"What an absolute honour and a joy to be asked to launch the fantastic new album by the Saw Doctors," Kay, who plays five nights in Dublin's O2 next year, said.

"My family and I have been massive fans for years."

"We know Peter is very proud of his Irish roots and his Irish relatives, but for a major star to take time out and to speak so highly of our work is a huge compliment,"guitarist Leo Moran said.
