A YOUNG Irish father-of-two has died in tragic circumstances in the United States.
The 29-year-old -- named locally as Padraig Coyne, from Youghal, Co Cork -- was found dead in New York on Monday.
It is understood Mr Coyne had been missing for three days before his remains were located in the city by police officers.
Police are reviewing the circumstances of his death and are awaiting the results of a post-mortem. It is unclear whether he died as a result of a tragic accident or from natural causes.
Mr Coyne emigrated to the US a number of years ago. He settled in New York and became a highly respected figure in the Irish-American community.
Youghal locals expressed shock at the news last night which came just five days after the town was left reeling by the murder of Michael 'Mikey' O'Shea (31). He was found dead in his flat at 85 North Main Street after gardai and fire brigade officials responded to a fire alert last Thursday.
A 29-year-old man is currently before the courts in relation to Mr O'Shea's death.
