An inmate serving time for robbery and attempted burglary reportedly shocked prison officers when he fired a cup of his urine at them during a bout of rage.

Anthony Maughan (34) from Ladyswell in Blanchardstown, Dublin is said to have  begun eating his own feces in a vile effort to annoy prison guards.

Maughan was sent to the Midlands Prison in July 2010 after being sentenced to 12 years with four suspended.

Last week the inmate threw a cup full of his urine at a prison officer and has since been re-located to Wheatfield Prison in Dublin 22.
