An Irish man was killed in a car crash in Australia when he was driving to work on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Co Cork was killed when his car crashed near the town of Townsdale, some 160kms south-east of Perth in Western Australia.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said they are aware of the case and are ready to provide consular assistance.

It’s the second tragedy to hit Cork this week as 21-year-old Ramona Fagan died when she fell from a balcony in Tenerife yesterday.
