AN Irish hotel is selling bottled water for €37.

Belfast’s Merchant hotel has also appointed two water waiters to serve up its exclusive range.

The cheapest water on the menu is £4.95 (€7), while the most expensive is £26.45 (€37).

The butlers will help the hotel’s guests choose the water which is right for their palate, by explaining the benefits and attributes of the different brands.

The most expensive water is the 750ml bottle of Iceburg.

It comes from the Canadian Arctic, where snow froze thousands of years ago and is protected from all impurities.

The water is considered to be the purest on earth.

For those on a budget, the cheapest  water is Speyside.

The sparkling water is taken for the UK’s highest naturally occurring spring.
