IRELAND rugby captain Jamie Heaslip has become the latest star player to be tackled by the clampers.
Ahead of a tough Amlin Cup quarter final clash against London Wasps today, he could have done without the added headache of being stopped in his tracks in Dublin city centre. The big No 8 fell foul of clampers when his €79,000 Land Rover Discovery 4 was found parked in a loading bay.
Despite being handed an €80 fine he appeared non-plussed and sat patiently in the driver's seat playing games on his phone while waiting for the clamp to be removed from his 2013 model 4x4.
Heaslip's brush with the clampers comes just weeks after his Leinster and Ireland teammate Cian Healy was also clamped outside the Shelbourne Hotel ahead of the Six Nations clash with France.
His €40,000 Land Rover Defender was shackled while he was at a team meeting.
