Ireland players pay tribute to tragic James Nolan
THE Republic of Ireland squad members have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to tragic James Nolan, who lost his life in Poland at the weekend.
James’ body was pulled from a river in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz yesterday morning and formally identified by his family who travelled from Wicklow last night.
Sean St Ledger tweeted: “So sorry to hear the tragic news about James Nolan. Sometimes football takes a backseat. He is in our thoughts and prayers.”
Goalkeeper Shay Given tweeted: “So sad to hear the tragic news about one of our Irish fans.”
Captain Robbie Keane’s wife Claudine tweeted on behalf of her husband: “Absolutely devastated to hear about the death of James Nolan.. Robbie and myself send all our thoughts and prayers to his family, RIP! Cxx”
The model signed off last night saying: “Nite guys my 900th tweet goes to James Nolan!! #RIPJamesNolan”
