A GARDA investigation is underway into a collision which left two gardaí and a taxi driver with minor injuries.
The collision occurred shortly after 9pm last night on the Commons Road in Cork.
Two gardaí were travelling in one vehicle while a male taxi driver was the sole occupant of the other vehicle.
All three suffered minor injuries in the collision and were taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) as a precautionary measure.
All are expected to be discharged by this afternoon.
A Garda investigation is underway into the incident.
The two male Gardaí are understood to have been on duty at the time of the accident.
It is hoped that CCTV security camera footage from nearby premises might assist with the investigation into the cause of the collision.
