Injured man walks into garda station after Dublin shooting
Victim shot in neck and upper body
A man with gunshot wounds walked into Clondalkin garda station earlier this evening.
Gardai have launched an investigation after the seriously injured victim (in his 30s) staggered into the station at approximately 615pm.
The victim was shot in the neck and upper body a number of times - injuries believed to have been sustained minutes earlier.
It is understood that the injured man was known to the gardai.
Gardai immediately called paramedics to the station to attend to the man and he was removed by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital.
It is understood that the incident occurred on Bawnogue Road.
A church car park on Bawnogue Road, Clondalkin Garda Station and part of Tower Road has been sealed off for technical examination.
Traffic diversions are currently in place on Clondalkin's Tower Road.
