In a Rush to get your book finished before anyone spots you, Ian?
Liverpool legend Ian Rush was in Dublin at the weekend and his choice of holiday reading material may have surprised some die-hard Liverpool fans.
The former striker was spotted midway through Alex Ferguson’s hugely controversial autobiography when he was in the city.
Perhaps he was making sure that he wasn't subjected to the same sort of treatment as former clubmate Steven Gerrard.
In his book, Ferguson, wrote that Gerrard was not a "top, top player", prompting the likes of Rush to defend him.
Rush said: "What Steven has done for Liverpool and England has been absolutely fantastic.
"He is a great player who we all appreciate.
"Every club would love to have him and that says it all."
The 51-year-old former player is a frequent visitor to Dublin to meet up with pals like model Carol Anthony.
