Identity of lucky €3m Lotto winner a mystery

MYSTERY surrounds the winner of the weekend Lotto jackpot of just over €3m.

The winning ticket -- a €60 Multi-Draw Quick Pick -- was sold at a Centra store in south inner-city Dublin on Saturday, June 23. Multi-draw tickets are valid for a number of Lotto draws in the weeks following their purchase.

A lottery spokeswoman said the earliest opportunity for the winner to claim their winnings would be today, and he or she has up to 90 days.

Store manager of the Thomas Street Centra in Dublin 8, Jianfei Bi, said he was delighted with the win.

"It's the first time that this has happened in this store," he said.

Mr Bi said he had absolutely no idea who the winner was.

The Centra shop will also receive a taxable prize of €15,000 for having sold the ticket.

Saturday's jackpot was a massive €3,084,281, while the Lotto Plus 1 was worth €350,000 and Lotto Plus 2 was €250,000.

There were no winning tickets in Lotto Plus 1 or 2.

The winning numbers for the jackpot were 13, 25, 26, 41, 42, 43 and the bonus number was 8.

The winning numbers in Plus 1 were 14, 16, 22, 39, 41, 43 and the bonus number was 35.

The winning numbers in Lotto Plus 2 were 1, 4, 5, 18, 26, 29, and the bonus was 16.
