I'd love to see raiders dead, says frail victim
A FRAIL pensioner who was thrown to the ground after being robbed for the second time two months has said she would love to see the culprits "lying dead".
Phyllis McGee (78), from Pettigo in Co Donegal, who lives on her own without electricity or running water, was knocked to the floor in her kitchen and robbed by three hooded men last Saturday night.
"I could kill them. I would like to see them lying dead," she said. "I'd love if there was somebody here with a gun and shoot the three of them and see them lying dead on the street; I would have enjoyed it," she told RTE's 'Prime Time'.
She said one of the thieves "twisted her arm". "They got my hand open and took the money. They asked me where the rest of the money was and when I said that's all I have, they said they'd burn the house down," she added.
It was the second break-in at her home, after the November theft of about €2,000.
"It could be months or years until there was anyone back again. It could be tonight. You'd never know."
