WHILE most Irish designers are concentrating on the 2013 IFTAs red carpet, Joanne Hynes is focusing on fashion weeks abroad.

But while Irish couturier Hynes will be at the awards, she has not dressed anyone for this year's ceremony.

Instead, she has spent her time completing her collection to show in Paris and London later this month.

Hynes's couture and statement jewellery have been a regular sight at the IFTAs over previous years, with Maria Doyle Kennedy and 'Love/Hate' actress Ruth Negga wearing her outfits in 2012.

This weekend, 'Voice of Ireland' host Kathryn Thomas will venture out in a gown by Kerry-born favourite Don O'Neill, who designed last year's Oscars dress for Oprah Winfrey.

Former Miss World Rosanna Davison and 'Fair City' star Aoibhin Garrihy will wear floor-length gowns by Dawn Fitzgerald.

Nominated in Best Actress in TV category, mother-to-be Amy Huberman has chosen a dress she found online that will suit her bump.

A spokesperson at John Rocha told the Irish Independent that there will be one guest on Saturday in a piece from his range, but they were sworn to secrecy.
