Hundreds of shoppers spill out onto Dublin street as Arnotts store evacuated after 'small fire'
Arnotts store in Dublin city was evacuated this afternoon due to a fire in the men's clothing section.
Hundreds of shoppers spilled out onto the street just before 5pm today.
One shopper wrote on Twitter: "When Arnotts clothes department goes on fire 30 metres away from you, so shaken omg".
A staff member said that the store was evacuated as the shutters came down when the alarm sounded.

Business has now resumed and no injuries were reported.
A spokeswoman for the department said: "A small fire in the men's department of Arnotts set off the sprinkler system this afternoon and was extinguished within minutes. There was no risk to customers or staff and the store will reopen as normal tomorrow morning.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
