Hundreds mourn death of talented GAA player (17)
HUNDREDS of mourners have attended the removal of a talented GAA player who lost his life in a drowning accident at the weekend. Christopher 'Connie' O'Sullivan (17) of Gleann Rua, Shinnagh and Freemount, Rathmore, Co Kerry, was pronounced dead on Monday, following an accident while swimming in the River Blackwater earlier that day.
His brother, Tyrone, was told of the tragedy in Australia, while another brother, Tomas, was in England.
Both were present last night, along with their brother, Daniel, to comfort parents Sharon and Jerry. Christopher will be laid to rest after Requiem Mass at St Joseph's Church today at 11.30am.
