HSE to launch ‘targeted redundancy scheme’ for staff in January
The HSE is to launch a ‘targeted voluntary redundancy scheme’ for staff in January.
In a letter from Human Resources boss Barry O’Brien, staff were told they could avail of the scheme in two months’ time.
However, there are no details regarding the numbers of voluntary redundancies that the HSE are seeking.
Staff were also informed that their hours will increase – at no extra cost – in accordance with the Haddington Road agreement.
In the letter, Mr O’Brien explained that such a move will help keep staffing costs down, and will reduce their reliance on agencies and additional costs.
