December 31: Tyrone manager Mickey Harte drives his daughter and her husband to Dublin Airport, where they fly out to Dubai for the first leg of their honeymoon.
January 8: The honeymooners check into the luxury Feng Shui-designed Legends Hotel on the island of Mauritius for a week's stay.
January 10: John discovers his bride lying face down in the bath about 15 minutes after she returned to room 1,025 to get some biscuits to go with her post-lunch cup of tea. She was strangled; attempts to resuscitate her are unsuccessful.
January 11: Less than 36 hours after her death, room attendant Abinash Treebhoowoon (29), of Plaines des Roches; floor manager Sandip Moneea (41), of Petit Raffray; and cleaner Raj Theekoy (33), of the Cottages, are charged in connection with the murder of the 27-year-old.
January 14: John travels to Ireland on the same flight that carries his wife's coffin home. He had refused to leave the island without her.
