Hot-property Hannigan and President Higgins to take part in Music Show

Lisa Hannigan, currently one of the hottest properties in global music, jets in today to make an appearance at The Music Show -- the all-day music extravaganza that is taking place at the RDS this weekend.

President Michael D Higgins is set to make a major address on activism in music and the arts in general, before a panel that will also include the star of The Tudors, Maria Doyle Kennedy, as well as the controversial young Dublin rapper Miss Elayneous.

Sunday's line-up also includes the multi-million selling Scottish chanteuse Eddi Reader, as well as 2fm's Ian Wilson, Phantom 105.2's Michelle Doherty, iRadio's Mark Cunning and Spin South West's Nessa McGann, who will be discussing the contentious issue of Irish radio's support -- or otherwise -- for homegrown artists.

Tickets for the Music Show in the RDS are available at the door.
