Hospital says it carries out terminations
Q GALWAY University Hospital has confirmed that it carried out a termination last year, and does so "every two to three years".
Over the past 15 years, a termination has been carried out at the Galway hospital "every two to three years".
A spokesperson for the hospital said it could not give details of the terminations because of patient confidentiality. But they added that the level of terminations needed to be considered against the 3,300 births which take place on average at the hospital every year.
