Henry III gives GAA fans hope as new star is born
HURLING defences of the future beware -- King Henry III has arrived.
Henry Shefflin Jnr -- or Henry III as he's already being dubbed -- came into the world last Friday and Kilkenny fans hope some of the magic that has terrorised defences the length and breadth of the country will rub off.
For multiple all-star Henry and his wife Deirdre, Henry is a baby brother for 19-month-old Sadhbh.
Weighing in at a healthy 7lb 14oz, Henry Michael is named after his two grandfathers and arrived home in Ballyhale with his proud parents on Monday.
"Everything went well, mother and baby are keeping well," the hurling wizard said yesterday.
A master of timing, Henry somehow managed to time the birth of his second child to perfection -- between important engagements for Ballyhale Shamrocks in the county final and, last Sunday, in the Leinster club championship.
