HSE managers are not 'suits'

"Health managers are in the HSE's DNA".

The message is published as part of material produced by the HSE's HR department.

The posters are clearly meant to give health care managers a morale boost and emphasise their important role in the organisation.

It emphasises that health managers are "not overpaid" and are "not 'bureaucrats' or 'suits'".

"The average annual salary for a health manager is €61,000. There is no such thing as a 'typical' health manager," the poster outlines.

It also adds that health managers are "hardworking".

"They work for as long it takes to get the job done and most work far more hours than they're paid for."
