Headache for commuters as collision adds chaos to rush hour traffic
Motorists warned to expect delays
Commuters heading home this evening are being warned to expect delays as a collision is adding to the chaotic rush hour traffic.
The M1 northbound is down to two lanes before Junction 2 at Dublin Airport due to a crash. AA Roadwatch said that delays are backing up to the Port Tunnel. Emergency services are at the scene.

The crash is also affecting traffic on the M50 northbound, which is currently slow from J11 Tallaght to J7 Lucan and again from J5 Finglas to the crash.
On the M50 southbound, delays are from the M1 Interchange to J5, at J9 Red Cow and then from J16 Cherrywood to J5 Bray North on the M11.
Motorists are warned to expect delays along the Clarehall Rd (R139/Old N32) as traffic is extremely heavy westbound from Northern Cross to the M1/M50 Interchange. There are also eastbound delays from the Clonshaugh Rd jct to Northern Cross.
AA Roadwatch are also reporting an incident on St John’s Rd West outbound at Heuston Station in the left lane, which is causing long delays on approach from Wellington Quay on the South Quays.
Along the North Quays, it’s busy from Ormond Quay to Bachelors Walk.
There are delays outbound on the Swords Rd from the Clonliffe Rd jct in Drumcondra to Collins Ave.
The Navan Rd is also busy outbound from Cabra Cross to the Baggot Road junction.
